Cristhian Timoté


Cristhian Timoté joined gAGE/UPC team in September 2018 as a PhD candidate of the program Aerospace Science and Technology at the UPC Doctoral School. His main topic of research is Space Weather monitoring with GNSS.

In 2011, Cristhian graduated as an Aeronautical Engineer from Universidad Los Libertadores (Colombia) with the end of degree project "Multilateration technical feasibility study in the Bogota's Airport". In 2014, he obtained his Master Degree in Global Navigation Satellite System from the École Nationale de l'Aviation Civile ENAC (France) and the Institut Supérieur de l'Aéronautique et de l'Espace ISAE (France). His master thesis was on "Orbit ephemeris monitor for GBAS CAT-I aircraft precision approach operations" developed at gAGE/UPC and supervised by Doctor Jaume Sanz and Doctor Miguel Juan Zornoza.

He was a lecturer from 2015 to 2018 at the Colombian Civil Aviation Authority (Unidad Administrativa Especial de Aeronáutica Civil) working within the ATSEP (Air Traffic Safety Electronics Personnel) group. Cristhian worked as a lecturer from 2016 to 2018 in the Aeronautical Engineering program at Universidad Los Libertadores (Colombia).
