Dagoberto Salazar

Dagoberto Salazar is an aeronautical engineer from the Instituto Universitario Politecnico de las Fuerzas Armadas (IUPFAN-UNEFA) located in Venezuela. He also has graduate studies on Instrumentation and Control from the Universidad Central de Venezuela (UCV). He received his Ph.D. in Aerospace Science and Technology from the Technical University of Catalonia (UPC), Spain.

 

He has been working with UPC since 2001, and he currently is a Lecturer Professor at the School of Telecommunications and Aerospace Engineering of Castelldefels (Escola d'Enginyeria de Telecommunicaci i Aeroespacial de Castelldefels, EETAC). Before joining UPC, Dr. Salazar worked as Instructor at Universidad Simon Bolivar, Inspector for the Transport and Communications Ministry of Venezuela, and as Operation Engineer for Aerolineas Venezolanas (AVENSA).


 
Dr. Salazar specializes in GNSS data processing, mainly focused on navigation and precise positioning applications. Currently he is working on network PPP-like data processing, using a method devised by himself, and he has also developed very precise algorithms for carrier-phase based velocity and acceleration determination very far away from reference stations (the EVA method).
