Pere Ramos Bosch
Dr. Pere Ramos Bosch is working in the European Space Operations Centre (ESOC) of the European
Space Agency (ESA) in Darmstadt, Germany since 2010, being granted a permanent position in 2013. He
performed an Engineer's degree in Telecommunications in 2004 at the Technical University of Catalonia,
a BSc in Physics in 2006 at the Universitat de Barcelona and made a PhD in Aerospace Science and
Technology in 2008 at the Technical University of Catalonia.
As part of his work in ESA he has been mostly involved in operations of Earth Observation satellites, in
particular of GOCE (routine and deorbiting special operations), ERS-2 (routine and deorbiting special
operations), Envisat (routine), Cryosat-2 (routine), Swarm (launch and routine), Sentinel (launch and
routine) and Galileo (launch and recovery operations). He is currently acting as Flight Dynamics Manager
of the Galileo launches performed at ESOC (half of them) and is involved renewal of the orbit
determination software used in operations.
