Dr. Raül Orús Pérez received his Physics bachelor on 2000 from the University of Barcelona (UB), Spain,
followed by Ph.D. studies in Aerospace Science and Technology in the Technical University of Catalonia
(UPC) in 2005, inside the research group of Astronomy and GEomatics (gAGE/UPC).

 

In 2006, he was awarded with a postdoctoral research fellowship with the European Space Agency
(ESA/ESTEC), Noordwijk, The Netherlands in the Electromagnetics and Space Environment Division on
Ionospheric effects on GNSS systems. After one year as researcher inside gAGE-NAV UPC spin-off, in
2010 he joined ESA/ESTEC as a propagation engineer working in activities related to radio wave
propagation in troposphere and ionosphere mainly for GNSS and other ESA projects. Since 2014, Raül is
responsible for radio propagation aspects on ESA missions.
