GENIUS Webinar: Kinematic Positioning of a LEO satellite using gLAB
In the fourth GENIUS Webinar, GNSS-Lab Tool suite (gLAB) -which was introduced in the second GENIUS webinar- will be used to show different modes of navigation considering both single and dual frequency, and both code and carrier phase measurements. As a test case, the kinematic orbit of a LEO satellite will be determined, discussing in detail the different model components and the navigation filter setup required for such GNSS processing.
This webinar has been promoted by the FP7 GENIUS Project. The focus of the GNSS Education Network for Industry and UniversitieS (GENIUS) project is to strengthen inks between universities, research institutes and industry. It does this through a range of activities that include the provision of world-class industrial training that concentrates on current GNSS "hot topics", an industry focused PhD scholarship programme as well as support of post-graduate internships into industry and measures to improve the employability and technical knowledge of PhD students. As part of activities to "Strengthening of e-learning Tools", GENIUS aims to make online resources available for training postgraduate students and industry. GENIUS is a Coordination and Support Action funded by the European Commission and the European GNSS Agency (GSA) under the grant agreement 287191.
This practical lecture is devoted to analyse and assess different issues associated with the positioning of a LEO satellite with actual GPS measurements.
