Cristhian Timoté
Cristhian Timoté joined gAGE/UPC team in September 2018 as a PhD candidate of the program Aerospace Science and Technology at the UPC Doctoral School. He is currently working on space weather monitoring using GNSS signals, supporting research activities in the project "Warning and mitigation Technologies for Traveling Ionospheric Disturbance Effects (TechTIDE) EU Horizon 2020".
In 2011, Cristhian graduated as an aeronautical engineer and in 2014 he received his master's degree in GNSS from ENAC (École Nationale de l'Aviation Civile) and ISAE (Institute Superior de l'Aéronautique et de l'Espace). His master thesis "Orbit ephemeris monitor for GBAS cat-I aircraft precision approach operations" was developed at gAGE/UPC under the direction of Doctor Jaume Sanz and Doctor Miguel Juan Zornoza.
From 2014 to 2018, Cristhian worked as a professor and a lecturer at the Colombian Civil Aviation Authority (Aerocivil), University Los Libertadores and University Politécnico Grancolombiano, in Bogotá, Colombia, in subjects related to aeronautics and aerospace sciences.
