ACIM
Analysis of the Ionsopheric Conditions from GNSS Measurements (ACIM). The project aims to develop automatically and in real time ionospheric models with high horizontal and vertical resolution in areas where such measures are available. Thus, it will be possible to provide corrections to allow that any user be positioned accurately anywhere on the planet. We also intend to define new indicators for scitillation to help detect the presence of this phenomenon that significantly affects the precise navigation techniques. This detection will constitute a first step to face its mitigation. Finally, we will improve vertical profiles of electron density profiles obtained from measurements of GNSS receivers on board of Low Earth Orbit satellites, especially in the lower part of the ionosphere, that is, where traditional retrieval techniques perform worse.
